Pimpri: Fresh organic vegetables, fruits, natural cosmetics, and locally processed food items – all this and more awaits visitors at the PCMC Farmers’ Street, which kicked off this morning at Linear Garden, Pimple Saudagar. The two-day event, organized by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) in collaboration with Urbanly, is not just a marketplace but a hub of culture, wellness, and community engagement.
Inaugurated by PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh, the event has already drawn enthusiastic crowds. Visitors can shop for sustainable products, participate in free Zumba and yoga sessions, enjoy the beats of a drum circle, and relax to live music performances. For children, a thrilling game called “Ranangan” has been arranged by Mavala, ensuring fun for all age groups.
Speaking at the event, PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh said, “PCMC Farmers’ Street is more than just a marketplace – it is a celebration of sustainability and community. This initiative bridges the gap between urban consumers and farmers, encouraging a healthier and more connected lifestyle. I invite all citizens to come, experience, and support our local farmers and entrepreneurs.”
The event is open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM on January 4 and 5, with free entry for all. The event will conclude tomorrow in the presence of MLA Shankar Jagtap and PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh.
Citizens are urged to visit the event in large numbers and make it a grand success.
