The Aadhaar card has become an essential document in India, and its usage is widespread. While the traditional paper-based Aadhaar card was prone to damage, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has introduced a more durable and secure option – the PVC Aadhaar card.

The PVC Aadhaar card is made of plastic and features advanced security measures, including a QR code, micro-text, hologram, and ghost image. This makes it a more robust and long-lasting alternative to the traditional paper-based card.

Applying for a PVC Aadhaar card is a straightforward process that can be completed online. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

In addition to applying for a PVC Aadhaar card, users can also download their e-Aadhaar card from the UIDAI’s MyAadhaar portal. To do this, users will need to verify their mobile number using OTP and then download their e-Aadhaar card using the mAadhaar app.

By applying for a PVC Aadhaar card, users can ensure that their Aadhaar card is more secure and durable, reducing the need for repeated replacements.
