Maharashtra Gets 7 New Flyovers; CM Devendra Fadnavis Announces Plans for 200 More Projects Under MAHARAIL

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated seven newly constructed flyovers by the Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (MAHARAIL) on Sunday, January 5. The flyovers are located in Nagpur, Amravati, Wardha, Chandrapur, Dhule, Jalgaon, and Washim districts.
Speaking at the event, CM Fadnavis praised MAHARAIL for its exceptional pace in constructing infrastructure projects and announced an ambitious plan to complete 200 more flyovers and underpasses in the near future. He emphasized Maharashtra’s leadership in infrastructure development, citing the state’s extensive projects in metros, roads, highways, airports, and ports.
Details of the Newly Inaugurated Flyovers:
- Nagpur: Flyover at Railway Gate No. 293 near Godhani Railway Station
- Amravati: Flyover at Railway Gate No. 70 near Chandur Railway Station
- Wardha: Flyover at Railway Gate No. 103 near Sindi Railway Station
- Chandrapur: Flyover at Railway Gate No. 43A/143A at Babupeth
- Dhule: Flyover at Dondaicha city Railway Gate No. 105
- Jalgaon: Flyover at Railway Gate No. 149 near Jalgaon Railway Station
- Washim: Flyover at Railway Gate No. 115 near Washim Railway Station
The Chief Minister highlighted that MAHARAIL has set a record-breaking pace in building infrastructure, with the aim of significantly reducing traffic congestion and improving connectivity. He reiterated Maharashtra’s commitment to driving large-scale development projects and maintaining its top position in infrastructure growth.
The Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) also shared the details of the projects on social media, commending MAHARAIL’s contributions. Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal, Managing Director of MAHARAIL, along with other senior officials, attended the inauguration ceremony.
