Pune: New Police Chowki Inaugurated At Wipro Circle, Hinjawadi To Boost Security
Pune:Â In a significant move to enhance safety in the IT hub of Hinjawadi, a new police chowki was inaugurated at Wipro Circle, Phase-2, on January 17, 2025. The facility was inaugurated by Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey, IPS, as part of the #PCCityPolice Transformation initiative.
The newly established chowki aims to provide better security for IT companies, local residents, and especially women and children. Supported by Embassy Hi-Tech, this development addresses growing safety concerns in the area.
The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of senior police officials, including DCP Zone 2 Vishal Gaikwad, ACP Wakad Division Sunil Kurade, and the entire police station team.
Hinjewadi, being a bustling IT and residential zone, has witnessed rapid growth, making this additional police presence a crucial step towards ensuring law and order. The new chowki is expected to enable quicker response times and improve community engagement in safety initiatives.
This strategic addition reflects the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police’s commitment to creating a safer environment for all citizens while supporting the expanding IT and residential landscape in the area.
