Maharashtra Weather Update: Rise In Minimum Temperatures Reduces Winter Chill
The weather across Maharashtra has undergone noticeable changes in recent days. After experiencing a drop in minimum temperatures for three consecutive days, several cities in western Maharashtra are now reporting a rise in temperatures, reducing the winter chill.
Pune
On January 22, Pune will experience foggy conditions in the morning, followed by partly cloudy skies. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 31°C, while the minimum will rise to around 14°C—an increase of 2-3°C compared to previous days. This change has led to a noticeable reduction in cold weather.
Kolhapur
Kolhapur is likely to experience a maximum temperature of 31°C and a minimum of 22°C. The increase in minimum temperature could result in a warm afternoon, with partly cloudy skies expected.
Satara and Sangli
Satara will see foggy mornings with partly cloudy skies later, with maximum and minimum temperatures at 30°C and 17°C, respectively. Similarly, Sangli will experience a high of 31°C and a low of 21°C, with a warmer afternoon expected.
Solapur
In Solapur, the weather will remain partly cloudy on January 22, with a maximum of 33°C and a minimum of 17°C, indicating a slight rise in temperature.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has attributed the reduced cold intensity to the increase in minimum temperatures across several cities. This shift may result in warmer afternoons, especially in areas where both maximum and minimum temperatures are rising.
