Pimpri: A shocking incident has come to light where a college student was assaulted during a party, and a video of the incident was circulated on social media. The Hinjawadi police have arrested three individuals in connection with the crime.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Shreyas Sanjay Kawade (19, originally from Dharashiv), Lalit Pramod Bhadane (21, originally from Dhule), and Ram Tulshiram Gambhire (35, originally from Latur). The victim, a 20-year-old college student, has lodged a complaint at the Hinjawadi police station.
According to police reports, the victim, Shreyas, and Lalit are students at an educational institute in Tathawade. The victim had an earlier dispute with Ram’s cousin, which allegedly led to the assault.
The accused invited the victim to a flat on Marunji Road, where a party was taking place. During the gathering, Ram offered the victim a cigarette, which he accidentally dropped. Ram then accused him of trying to act superior, leading to a violent altercation. The victim was forced to strip, while Lalit filmed the incident and shared it on social media.
Ram further threatened the victim, stating, “You can go to anyone, I have 53 criminal cases against me, and no one can touch me.”
The Senior Police Inspector Kanhaiya Kumar Thorat is currently investigating the case.
