Ameesha Patel recently responded to fans’ curiosity about her possible marriage to Salman Khan. In a light-hearted manner, when asked about their single status during a Twitter chat on Ask Amy, she mentioned, “Fans have actually been asking me this question lately. They say, ‘He’s so eligible, you’re so eligible, you both look great together; please get married and have beautiful babies.’” She laughed and added, “I thought that was a fantastic reason! People enjoy seeing attractive couples unite. They wanted to see me and Hrithik together after Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, and when he announced his marriage, it broke their hearts. They were like, ‘No, this can’t be happening!’”
Last year in June, a fan teased Ameesha and Salman Khan about being unmarried and asked if they might get married. The 49-year-old actress playfully responded, “Salman is single, and so am I, so you think we should tie the knot? What’s the main reason for us to get married – marriage or a film project?” She also mentioned that she is open to marriage but is having trouble finding a suitable groom. “I can’t find a guy. I’ve been ready for a long time,” she joked.
Ameesha added, “The interesting part is when the characters you play on screen have such an impact on people off-screen that they wish it would happen in real life, you’ve done a great job. It shows that your work has been so convincing that people believe this couple truly belongs together.” Ameesha Patel and Salman Khan acted together in Yeh Hai Jalwa (2002).

The movie, directed by David Dhawan, didn’t do well at the box office, but fans really loved their on-screen pairing. Ameesha, who was recently seen in Gadar 2 with Sunny Deol, celebrated the 25th anniversary of her first film, Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai.
She mentioned how the audience’s enduring love has kept the film relevant all these years. Ameesha also mentioned the nostalgic success of Gadar 1 and Gadar 2 with fans. She’s grateful for the chance to act alongside Hrithik Roshan in their debut film. Salman is gearing up for his next movie, ‘Sikandar,’ set for an Eid 2025 release. Ameesha, on the other hand, will be starring in ‘Run Bhola Run,’ scheduled to hit the screens later this year.
