Traffic Diversions In Pune Announced for ‘Tarang-2025’ and Mahamarathon on February 15-16

The Pune Traffic Police have announced temporary traffic diversions to manage traffic flow during two major city events: ‘Tarang-2025’ on February 15 and the Lokmat Mahamarathon on February 16. These changes aim to ensure smooth vehicular movement and public safety.

Traffic Changes for ‘Tarang-2025’ – February 15

The ‘Tarang-2025’ event will take place at the Police Headquarters in Shivajinagar, Pune, with the presence of VVIPs and dignitaries. Traffic restrictions will be in effect from 4:00 PM to midnight.

Road Closure:

• Shimla Chowk to Hardikar Petrol Pump to Veer Chaphekar Chowk will remain closed to all vehicles.

Alternate Route:

• Shimla Chowk → Pride Hotel → Veer Chaphekar Over Bridge → Suryamukhi Chowk.

Citizens are urged to follow the indicated routes and cooperate with traffic officials and volunteers.

Traffic Changes for Mahamarathon – February 16

The Lokmat Mahamarathon, organized by Lokmat Newspaper, will be held under the jurisdiction of Baner and Chatushrungi Traffic Department. The marathon will cover key landmarks, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sports Complex, Mhalunge, Balewadi High Street, Mamta Chowk, Jupiter Hospital Chowk, and Raj Bhavan, before returning to the Sports Complex.

Traffic Restrictions:

• 4:00 AM – 9:00 AM:
  • Radha Chowk to Saikar Chowk: Closed
  • Saikar Chowk to Mamta Chowk: Closed
• 4:00 AM – 10:00 AM:
  • Raj Bhavan to Rishi Malhotra Chowk: Closed
• No parking or halting along the marathon route during these hours.

Traffic will be restricted to the right side of the route, with the left side reserved for marathon participants.

The Pune Traffic Police have requested citizens to plan their travel accordingly, use alternate routes, and cooperate with on-duty personnel to avoid inconvenience during these events.
