Pune News: Bavdhan Police Raid Bombay High Restobar For Operating Beyond Permitted Hours, Seize Materials Worth Rs 9 Lakhs ( Representational Image )
Pune: The Bavdhan Police conducted a raid on Bombay High Restobar on Mahalunge-Nande Road for operating beyond the permitted hours and violating licensing norms. Acting on a tip-off received by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pimpri-Chinchwad, a team led by Assistant Police Inspector Prasad Gajjevar raided the establishment around 2:50 a.m. on February 16, 2025.
Upon arrival, police found bouncers blocking entry and attempting to prevent the inspection, leading to charges of obstruction of duty. Upon entering, officers discovered approximately 100 to 125 customers being served food and alcohol, with loud music playing on the sound system.
A search of the premises revealed large quantities of liquor bottles, hookah pots (15 large, 10 medium, and 24 small), 72 hookah pipes, and other items. Authorities seized equipment worth ₹9,92,300, including computers, a music system, sofas, chairs, tables, and CCTV DVRs.
A case has been registered against bar manager Pratik Kamble (29, resident of Aundh, Pune), along with Sagar Gaikwad, Sumit Choudhary, and four bouncers under IPC sections 221, 223, 3(5), and section 33 read with 131 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 2023.
The Bavdhan Police are continuing their investigation.
