Pune: To streamline and expedite the installation of High-Security Registration Plates (HSRP) across Maharashtra, the state transport department has divided the state into three zones. Each zone has been allocated a specific group of Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) to ensure faster implementation.

The transport department has made HSRP installation mandatory for all vehicles registered before 2019, with a deadline of March 31, 2025. The newly created zones are designed to speed up the process and manage the workload efficiently.
