Hawkers continue to block stretch between Hill Mist Garden and Sarvodaya society
Residents living off NIBM road, mainly between Sarvodaya society and Hill Mist Garden are demanding immediate action against the hawkers illegally occupying the road adding to traffic congestion.
A resident complained that with Covid19 pandemic there is a drastic increase in hawkers on this stretch. There is no action by Pune Municipal Corporation against them. The shops outside Bramha Majestic society too have encroached and extended the shops in the front margin. There is no value to the pedestrian’s life.
Another resident complained due to these hawkers there is haphazard parking by vehicles which leads to congestion. Peak hours of traffic are the worst to drive, a resident complained.
When Pune Pulse spoke to the local corporator, Nanda Lonkar, she said, “Continuous drives are being taken in the entire ward. I have informed the anti encroachment cell to undertake a drive and resolve the inconvenience caused to the citizens.
