Pavanathadi Fair in Sangvi from Tomorrow: 750 Stalls, Women Entrepreneurs, Food Delights, and Cultural Events
Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has organized the Pavanathadi Fair from February 21 to 24 at the PWD Ground in Sangvi. The event aims to provide a marketplace for products made by women’s self-help groups in the city. A total of 750 self-help groups will participate in the fair.
The Social Development Department of PCMC organizes this fair annually, receiving an overwhelming response from the city. The initiative is designed to help women entrepreneurs market their products, develop business skills, and create self-employment opportunities.
The fair will feature 750 stalls showcasing home utility products, daily-use items, and a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food stalls. Additionally, cultural programs will be organized during the event.
A lucky draw system was used to allocate stalls to the participating groups. The fair will also include municipal corporation stalls providing information on government schemes and projects such as Smart City, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
For the successful execution of the event, ₹1.30 crore has been allocated for stall setup, pavilions, sanitation facilities, drinking water, electricity, and other essential services.
According to Assistant Commissioner Tanaji Narale, some stalls have been reserved for differently-abled individuals and the transgender community, ensuring inclusivity in the fair.
