Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday announced ₹50 crore for the next phase of Shivsrushti, a theme park dedicated to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The announcement came as he inaugurated the second phase of the project on the Maratha king’s birth anniversary.

Shivsrushti, originally conceptualized by the late Babasaheb Purandare, is being developed in four phases at Ambegaon Budruk by the Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan.

During his visit, Fadnavis experienced attractions like the Time Machine Theatre. “I have seen many high-tech theme parks, but the inspiration I drew from Shivsrushti today is beyond words,” he said.

Fadnavis praised the park for showcasing Shivaji Maharaj’s humanitarian values alongside his warrior legacy. He highlighted the three core principles dear to Shivaji Maharaj Swadesh, Swadharma, and Swabhasha.

He also credited the Maratha ruler for making Marathi the official language of his kingdom, freeing it from the influence of Arabic and Farsi.

Shivsrushti features attractions such as a replica of the Tulja Bhavani temple at Pratapgad, a massive welcome hall with high-resolution portraits of Shivaji Maharaj, and an idol of the goddess Tulja Bhavani.
