PCMC’s Constitution Awareness Efforts Recognized In Dubai’s ‘World Book of Records’ Programme
Pimpri, February 20, 2025 – Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawaale praised Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) for its exceptional efforts in promoting the Indian Constitution. Speaking at an event in Dubai, where PCMC received a ‘World Book of Records’ certificate, Athawale stated that the corporation’s work in spreading constitutional awareness is commendable and serves as a model for others.
On Republic Day (January 26, 2025), PCMC organized a grand cultural event titled ‘Hum Bharat Ke Log’ (We the People of India) to pay tribute to the Constitution. In a historic feat, 150 artists from across India and Nepal sang the Preamble in 16 languages, including sign language. This remarkable initiative was officially recorded in the World Book of Records.
The award ceremony was held in Dubai, where Union Minister Athawale presented the recognition to PCMC officials. The event was attended by dignitaries including Dr. Vishwapatri Trivedi (Former Principal Secretary, Govt. of India), Hameed Mohammad Bin Salem (Secretary-General, UAE Chambers Federation), Mahir Abdulkarim Zulfar (EVP, Dubai World Trade Center), and Santosh Shukla (CEO, World Book of Records).
