‘Pavanathadi’ Jatra Boosts Women’s Empowerment With Over 750 Stalls In Pimpri-Chinchwad
PUNE: MLA Shankar Jagtap emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment while inaugurating the ‘Pavanathadi’ Fair (Jatra) organized by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). He stated that strengthening women is essential for the nation’s progress and urged the municipal corporation to increase provisions for women’s empowerment.
The fair, held at PWD Ground in Sangvi, features over 750 stalls showcasing products made by women’s self-help groups. Special stalls have also been allocated for differently-abled individuals and transgender entrepreneurs. The event includes cultural programs such as Maharashtra’s Pride, Mera Bharat Mahan, and Jagar Stree Shakticha.
Citizens are encouraged to support the initiative by purchasing handmade products and enjoying traditional Maharashtrian cuisine at the fair.
