Pune Police Conducts Citywide Nakabandi, Penalizes 1,518 Vehicles For Traffic Violations
On February 24, 2025, Pune Police conducted an extensive nakabandi (blockade) across key roads, intersections, and high-traffic areas in the city from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The operation involved 97 senior police officers and 1,872 personnel from various branches, covering 78 strategic locations.

During the drive, 4,187 vehicles were inspected, resulting in penalties for 1,518 violators, including wrong-side driving, triple riding, and failure to wear seat belts. A total fine of ₹13,65,100 was collected, and 371 vehicles were seized.
The Pune Police urge all citizens to follow traffic rules and maintain road discipline for a safer city.
