Pune: Bar Owner Beaten, Nearly Set On Fire For Intervening In Street Fight
Pune: A bar owner in Pune’s Bharati Vidyapeeth area was brutally attacked and nearly set on fire after attempting to stop a scuffle outside his establishment. The shocking incident occurred near Sanjivani Bar and Restaurant, raising serious concerns over public safety in the city.
According to police reports, a group of young men were engaged in a brawl outside the bar when the owner stepped in to prevent further disruption. Enraged by his interference, the group assaulted him severely. The situation escalated further when the attackers intercepted him while he was on his way to Sassoon Hospital for medical treatment.
In a horrifying turn, the group poured petrol on the injured bar owner and attempted to set him on fire. They also torched his two-wheeler before fleeing the scene.
Authorities have detained three suspects in connection with the attack, and investigations are underway. The police have assured strict action against the culprits to ensure public safety.
