IMD data shows that the first week of March 2025 has been the hottest in a decade for Pune, with an average temperature of 36.6°C. Comparatively, previous years saw lower temperatures during the same period:

Meteorologists predict that temperatures will continue to rise in the coming days, with Pune likely to cross the 40°C mark. Pune scientist S.D. Sanap stated, “The temperature is expected to increase by 1-2 degrees in the next few days. A slight drop in nighttime temperatures has also been observed in the last 48 hours.”
