Pune, March 17, 2025: A disturbing incident occurred near RIMS School on NIBM Road around 4 am when a drunk driver lost control of his vehicle, crashed into a divider, and ran over a delivery man’s Suzuki Burgman.
The impact completely destroyed the two-wheeler along with all the delivery items before the driver fled the scene.
The delivery rider, who had parked his scooter momentarily, was left shocked as his means of livelihood was crushed in an instant.
Eyewitnesses reported that the speeding car swerved dangerously before hitting the divider and then ramming into the parked scooter. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Residents of the area have expressed concerns over the rising number of such reckless driving incidents, especially during late-night hours.
Many have urged the Pune Police to implement stricter measures, including increased patrolling and harsher penalties for drunk driving.
