Pune: A tragic accident in Lonikand claimed the life of a two-year-old boy, Malhar Akshay Chapode, after he was struck by a water delivery vehicle driven by a minor. The incident has sparked outrage and renewed concerns about road safety and underage driving.

According to police reports, the accident occurred when the minor, attempting to move the vehicle, unintentionally hit Malhar. Despite immediate medical attention, the child succumbed to his injuries before treatment could be administered.

Following a complaint from the boy’s father, Akshay Chapode, the police have registered a case of negligence against both the underage driver and his father. Investigations by the Lonikand police are ongoing.
