Pune, March 20: A parking dispute in Pune’s Kondhwa area escalated into a violent knife fight late at night, leading to the arrest of two men, police said. The incident, which occurred near Sana Hospital in Kausar Baug around 11:30 p.m., was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media.

According to police, the accused—identified as Ganesh Subhash Rakh Pasare (32) and Afak Ashfaq Shaikh (30)—engaged in a heated argument over parking, which quickly turned into a physical altercation. 

Both individuals attacked each other with sharp weapons, sustaining injuries in the process.

Authorities confirmed that Shaikh has a prior criminal record, with a case registered under Section 307 at Kondhwa police station.

Following the fight, both men were rushed to Sassoon Hospital for treatment before being taken into custody.

Cases have been registered against the accused, and further investigation is underway. Police have urged residents to avoid confrontations and report disputes to authorities to prevent such violent incidents.
