On the day of the incident, Aishwarya visited the victim’s home carrying cold coffee laced with sedatives. After drinking it, the victim lost consciousness. Aishwarya then allegedly stole gold ornaments worth ₹5.46 lakh from a cupboard and fled the scene.

The theft went unnoticed for a few days. The victim later discovered the missing jewellery and filed a complaint. During the investigation, police found evidence linking the crime to her friend.

The accused hails from Latur, while the victim is a Pune resident. Before marriage, the victim was undergoing professional training, and Aishwarya was preparing for competitive exams. Their strong friendship and regular meetings gave the accused easy access to the house.

A case has been registered at Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station under sections 305 and 123 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation is ongoing to recover the stolen jewellery and uncover more details.
