Bomb Threat Triggers Full Emergency Landing Of IndiGo Flight In Mumbai; All Passengers Safe
Mumbai, April 8, 2025: An IndiGo flight travelling from Jaipur to Mumbai was forced to land under full emergency conditions on Monday evening following a bomb threat, prompting swift security action at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
Flight 6E 5324, carrying 225 passengers, landed safely at approximately 8:50 PM. Authorities declared a full emergency at 8:43 PM, minutes before the aircraft touched down. The plane was immediately moved to a remote parking bay as part of standard safety procedures.
According to sources, the threat was discovered in the form of a written note found in one of the aircraft’s lavatories, triggering the emergency response. Officials have not disclosed further details about the contents of the note.
In a statement, the airport authorities confirmed, “A threat note was discovered in an aircraft en route from Jaipur to Mumbai. As a precautionary measure, a full emergency was declared. The flight landed safely, and airport operations have remained unaffected.”
IndiGo and airport officials have reiterated that the safety of passengers and staff remains their highest priority. A detailed security check of the aircraft was carried out, and all passengers disembarked safely.
Investigations into the incident are currently underway.
