Pimpri, April 8, 2025 – In a major step toward defining a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) for the Pune Metropolitan Region, MahaMetro has organised a consultative discussion session on Wednesday, April 9 at 11:00 AM at the Auto Cluster Auditorium, Pimpri. The session will be held under the chairmanship of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh.

The session will cover key urban transport topics such as planning for metro lines, BRT corridors, bus stops, parking lots, bridges, and other related infrastructure projects.

MahaMetro is currently in the process of preparing the Regional Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for the Pune metropolitan area. To incorporate valuable suggestions from city officials and corporators, this consultative session has been organised. Representatives from both Pimpri-Chinchwad and Pune city, as well as the Pune metropolitan region, will deliberate on proposed transport-related projects, share suggestions, and participate in detailed discussions.

The PCMC has extended a formal invitation to MPs, MLAs, former mayors, deputy mayors, standing committee chairpersons, subject committee chairpersons, as well as former corporators to attend the session chaired by Commissioner Shekhar Singh.
