Pune, April 14, 2025: After prolonged water scarcity, 3,000 residents of Nyati Elysia in Kharadi have finally seen much-needed relief, following prompt intervention by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). With the rising summer heat intensifying the problem, the housing society had been facing acute water shortages over the past few months.

Taking proactive steps, a group of residents reached out to PMC officials through persistent follow-ups and detailed meetings to highlight the seriousness of the issue. Acting on their concerns, PMC engineers conducted an on-site inspection, identified several concealed leaks and blockages, and made the necessary repairs. The team also recalibrated the water supply schedule to streamline distribution.

Jayesh Maduskar, Chairman of Nyati Elysia Cronus, commended PMC and L&T engineers for their responsiveness and ground-level coordination. He credited fellow residents—Ram Sanap, Sagar Choudhari, Satish Ratnaparkhi, Akshay Bachhal, Shankar Sharma, Tushar, and Akhilesh, Ganesh Satras for their instrumental roles in the resolution process.

In the interim, PMC arranged for water tankers and introduced time-bound supply slots to manage the crisis. Nandkishor Jagtap, head of PMC’s water supply department, confirmed that a permanent water line is currently under development to ensure long-term stability.

The society is now exploring rainwater harvesting and other sustainable water solutions to avoid future shortages.
