Pune: Legal Action Sought As Ramnadi Construction Puts Residents At Risk
Satellite images of the Mula-Ramnadi confluence clearly reveal that the free-flowing river stretch before 2020 has now, in 2025, been irresponsibly altered into a hazardous bottleneck.
This artificial obstruction is a direct interference with the natural ecosystem and is likely to severely impact the residents living along the banks of the Ramnadi.
The logic is simple — when water is blocked, it builds up and eventually overflows, leading to potential flooding.
This situation highlights lapses in planning and oversight, raising serious questions about the administrative decision-making process.
Adv. Krunnal Gharre has demanded that the ongoing RFD (River Front Development) work be halted immediately and a judicial inquiry be initiated to determine who authorized this decision and unider what legal provision it was sanctioned.
