Meanwhile, Delhi Airport will temporarily reopen Runway 10/28 in the first week of May to reduce flight delays caused by ongoing maintenance. Nearly 900 flights were affected in a single day, prompting authorities to take urgent action.

The runway was closed for an Instrument Landing System (ILS) upgrade to improve low-visibility operations before the winter fog season. However, the closure reduced arrival capacity from 45 to around 31–32 flights per hour, leading to severe congestion across terminals.
