Pune: PMPML To Inaugurate Two New E-Bus Depots In Charholi And Maan On April 25
Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (PMPML) will inaugurate two new electric bus depots Charholi and Maan on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 7:30 AM. The inauguration will be conducted by Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune District, Ajit Pawar, with the special presence of Union Minister of State for Co-operation and Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol.
Dignitaries including the Deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, and Ministers, Members of Parliament, and MLAs from Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad will also be present at the event.
Boost to Transport in Expanding Suburban Areas
In response to Pune’s rapid expansion and the rising number of commuters, PMPML has established these depots to streamline bus operations and improve connectivity in the extended urban zones. The Charholi depot will operate 60 buses, while the Maan depot will manage 32 buses for public service.
Man E-Bus Depot: A Boon for the Emerging IT Hub
Man, being a developing IT hub, will now offer more convenient and comfortable commuting options for IT professionals and local residents. Commuters will also benefit from advanced PMPML services such as live bus tracking and stop announcements through the PMPML mobile app.
Charholi Depot: Connectivity for Key Localities
With the launch of the Charholi depot, areas like Lohgaon, Vishrantwadi, Alandi, Wagholi, Viman Nagar, and the Airport region will receive enhanced connectivity. This depot is expected to become a vital transit point for residents in the PMRDA region.
