Pune: Pisoli’s Casa Mia Society Area In Crisis: All Access Roads Broken, Locals Struggle Amid PMC’s Neglect
Pune, May 2, 2025 – Residents of Casa Mia society in Pisoli are facing a severe mobility crisis as all three access roads to the area remain dug up, broken, or completely inaccessible for over a year. The neglected condition of roads has turned the region into a virtual deadlock zone.
The area houses two schools — Boston World School now Aaryan’s World School, and Hill Green School, Sanskriti School — along with two junior colleges, sports academies, five small-scale industries, and over 150 homes. Yet, no repair or infrastructural work is currently underway, including the stalled canal overbridge.
Locals allege political interference and harassment by local goons, further complicating the situation. Students face challenges commuting during exams, while ambulances and fire safety vehicles struggle to enter. The lives of senior citizens and differently-abled residents are at constant risk.
Businesses are suffering due to poor access, and frequent road accidents have added to the crisis. Garbage trucks too are unable to enter, leading to sanitation issues.
Despite repeated complaints, local government bodies and the Panchayat have failed to act, reportedly due to communal tensions and pending court cases. The area now remains trapped in administrative apathy and urgent intervention is being demanded.
