Pune, May 6, 2025:
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has initiated action against unauthorized water connections and electric pumps in the Viman Nagar area. The operations, led by the PMC’s Bund Garden Water Supply Department, were carried out on April 17 and April 25, 2025.

As part of the crackdown, officials removed electric pumps attached to five taps located at Kailas SuperMarket and the SRA (Slum Rehabilitation Authority) scheme in Viman Nagar. Additionally, action was taken against electric pumps installed on two tap connections at a local restaurant and café. The pumps were confiscated as part of the enforcement drive.

In a separate operation, two unauthorized water connections measuring 3/4 inch in diameter were sealed in Lane No. 2 of Suprabhat Society, Somnathnagar.
