The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune, declared the results of the Class 10 board examinations for 2025 on May 13. The announcement was made by MSBSHSE Chairman Sharad Gosavi during a press conference held at the board’s headquarters.

According to the data shared, the overall pass percentage for this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams stands at 94.10%, showing a slight decrease from last year’s 95.81%.

Continuing the trend from previous years, girls have once again outperformed boys. The pass percentage among female students is 96.14%, while male students achieved a pass rate of 92.31%. A total of 8,23,611 boys and 7,22,968 girls appeared for the exams, with 7,60,325 boys and 6,95,108 girls successfully clearing them.

Performance of Repeater Students:
Among 23,954 students who reappeared for the SSC exam, 9,448 passed, translating to a pass percentage of 39.44%.

District-wise SSC Performance in 2025:
The board also released district-level performance statistics. Konkan emerged as the top-performing region with a pass percentage of 98.82%, followed by Kolhapur at 96.87% and Mumbai at 95.84%. Other districts reported the following results:

  • Pune: 94.81%
  • Nashik: 93.04%
  • Amravati: 92.95%
  • Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: 92.82%
  • Latur: 92.77%
  • Nagpur: 90.78%

Exam Logistics and Measures for Fairness:
This year, the exams commenced ten days earlier than usual and were conducted across 5,130 centres statewide, covering 66 subjects in eight mediums of instruction. To uphold exam integrity, 271 flying squads were deployed. Furthermore, recognition of 37 schools that served as exam centres and were involved in malpractice cases has been permanently cancelled.

The results have been announced nearly two weeks ahead of last year’s schedule.
