Pune-Based Group Launches Support Initiatives For Intercaste Marriages
Pune: New initiatives have been undertaken to support the concept of intercaste marriage through the efforts of ‘Vicharvedh Association’. These initiatives were announced at a meeting held in Pune under the chairmanship of senior social worker Anand Karandikar.The initiatives include counseling and guidance for interested young men and women, financial assistance advice, programs to bring couples together, lectures, and the provision of a ‘safe house’ for secure accommodation. The main objective is to eliminate misconceptions in society regarding intercaste marriages and to support those who choose to marry across caste lines.
