In response to such speculation, Aishwarya addressed the issue in an interview with Firstpost, defending her decision to include Aaradhya in her professional travels.
“Aaradhya is part of my everyday life, and she’s with me through everything,” she said. “Like any other child, she’s in school, but when she was younger, I made sure she had time to play and interact with other kids—even when we were traveling. In Mumbai, it’s not always easy to find that space, so I’d take her to parks when we were abroad.”
The actress also emphasized the intentional choices she has made as a parent: “I’ve always told her this is my world, and she’s a part of it. But I’ve also made sure she has a normal life. Nothing about this has been automatic—it’s taken thought and effort. I’m glad I took breaks from work to be present for her. And when people meet her and say, ‘She’s so down to earth, just like any other child,’ I feel like I’ve done my job as a mother.”
Despite the mixed reactions, Aishwarya’s appearance at Cannes reaffirmed her status as a style icon and devoted mother. Her quiet confidence and familial bond continue to resonate with fans across the globe.
