Pune – The much-anticipated Mallhar Yag at the historic Jejuri Khandoba Temple has been postponed following continuous and heavy rainfall in Jejuri and the surrounding regions of Purandar and Saswad. The intense downpour has caused significant waterlogging in the temple premises and nearby areas, prompting organizers to defer the event for safety reasons.

The Shri Martand Dev Sansthan, Jejuri, issued a public notice expressing regret over the postponement. The official statement reads an apology to devotees for the inconvenience caused due to unavoidable weather conditions. The Mallhar Yag, originally scheduled for May 28, 2025, will now be conducted at a later date, which will be announced soon.

The purpose of the Yag was to bring devotees together in prayer and celebration, but with persistent rain making access to the fort challenging, the decision was taken in the interest of public safety.
