PUNE: Passengers flying between Pune and Delhi on Tuesday faced major disruptions as SpiceJet flights were delayed by several hours, stranding hundreds of travelers at both airports.

SpiceJet flight SG 937, scheduled to depart Pune at 5:55 am, was delayed by a staggering 11 hours and 40 minutes. The aircraft eventually departed at 5:30 pm and reached Delhi at 7:50 pm.

The return flight, SG 185, which was set to leave Delhi for Pune at 9:15 am, also experienced significant delays, taking off only at 3:51 pm.

Passengers expressed frustration over the lack of timely updates and assistance from the airline. “We were informed about a technical issue, but there was no clear communication. I waited at the airport all day without proper support or explanation. It was extremely exhausting,” said one passenger who wished to remain anonymous.

According to airline officials, the delays were due to technical issues with the aircraft. However, many passengers criticized the airline for poor management and communication during the ordeal.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns about flight punctuality and customer service, especially on busy domestic routes like Pune-Delhi.
