Back in 1998, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai struck an emotional chord with movie lovers and became one of the most iconic films in Bollywood history. While the romantic trio of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji drove the story, a little girl quietly stole hearts with her innocence—Sana Saeed, who played Chhoti Anjali.

She was just 10 years old when she charmed the audience with her big eyes and mischievous energy. Born on September 22, 1988, Sana’s role in Karan Johar’s debut film made her an instant favourite across the country. But if you think you still remember what she looks like—think again.

Fast forward 27 years, and Sana Saeed is almost unrecognisable from the little girl we once knew. Now 36, she has completely transformed and is known for her glamorous avatar. A regular on social media, Sana often posts stunning pictures and glimpses of her life, drawing admiration from followers who still remember her fondly as Anjali.

After her breakthrough in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, she appeared in films like Badal and Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega. She then moved into television and featured in several popular serials, including Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, Kahiin To Hoga, Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar, Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai, Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na, and Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai. As a child actor, she remained in demand and well-loved.

Years later, she returned to the big screen in 2012 with Student of the Year, again under the direction of Karan Johar. While it was a glamorous re-entry, her adult acting career didn’t quite mirror her childhood success. Apart from small appearances in Fugly and Caught In The Web, Sana couldn’t secure a strong foothold in films.

However, she reinvented herself through reality television. Sana appeared in dance shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 6 and 7, showcasing her graceful moves and versatility. She also pushed her boundaries by participating in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 7 and Comedy Circus, gaining further recognition for her adventurous and fun-loving personality.

In 2021, she made a major life move—literally—by relocating to Los Angeles. A new chapter unfolded, both professionally and personally. In 2023, Sana got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Csaba Wagner, a Hollywood-based supervising sound designer and company director at Sweet Justice Sound Inc.. Csaba, who is originally from Hungary, has worked on many big-budget Hollywood projects. The couple often shares their affectionate moments online, which quickly go viral among Sana’s fans.

Although her Bollywood career didn’t follow a traditional success trajectory, Sana Saeed has managed to create a life filled with growth, love, and reinvention. She may not be on every film poster today, but she continues to live life on her terms—with confidence and grace.

From Chhoti Anjali to a global citizen, from a child star to a stylish, independent woman, Sana’s journey is a blend of nostalgia and evolution. Her story is proof that growing up in the spotlight doesn’t have to mean staying in it forever—sometimes, it’s about shining in your own way, even if it’s miles away from where it all began.
