Pune: Sharad Pawar’s NCP Faction Protests PMPML Bus Fare Hike, Demands Rollback
Pune: The Sharadchandra Pawar-led faction of the Nationalist Congress Party staged a strong protest outside the administrative building of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) against the recent fare hike by PMPML, terming it “unjust” to the people of Pune.
The protest took place near the PMPML bus station at the PMC entrance, where party workers, leaders, and local citizens gathered in large numbers. The demonstration was carried out in an innovative and impactful manner, highlighting growing public dissatisfaction with the fare increase.
Protesters demanded that the PMPML administration immediately withdraw the hike and provide relief to the common commuters of Pune. The party asserted that the hike puts undue financial pressure on the general public and must be rolled back at the earliest.
Prashant Sudamrao Jagtap, Pune City President of the Sharad Pawar-led NCP, led the agitation and appealed to the media to highlight the public sentiment and party’s demand for fare rollback through wide coverage.
