Weather Update: Rainfall Predicted Across Maharashtra On Tuesday; Yellow Alert Issued For 12 Districts
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for 12 districts in Maharashtra, predicting moderate to heavy rainfall across various regions on Tuesday, June 10. Rain activity is expected to intensify in Konkan, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha.
In Mumbai, skies will remain mostly cloudy with light to moderate rain and wind speeds of 30–40 km/h expected post-noon. Scattered light rain is also likely in other Konkan districts.
Pune, Solapur, and Sangli in Western Maharashtra are likely to experience moderate showers and are under a yellow alert. Satara and Kolhapur may see light rain.
In North Maharashtra, no official alert has been issued except for Ahilyanagar. However, Nashik, Jalgaon, Dhule, and Nandurbar may witness light rain at isolated locations.
In Marathwada, Dharashiv and Beed are under yellow alert, while Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Latur, Nanded, Parbhani, and Hingoli could experience light to moderate rainfall.
East Vidarbha is likely to receive the most rain, with Nagpur, Chandrapur, Wardha, Bhandara, Gondia, and Gadchiroli all placed under yellow alert. These areas may see 30–40 km/h winds along with moderate to heavy rainfall.
