Supriya Sule Welcomes Death Sentence In Nasrapur Child Rape And Murder Case, Says 'Justice Has Finally Been Served'
Pune, June 29, 2026: Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) MP Supriya Sule on Monday welcomed the Special Court’s decision to award the death penalty to the convict in the Nasrapur child rape and murder case, describing the verdict as justice for the three-year-old victim.
The Special Court sentenced Bhimrao Prabhakar Kamble to death for the rape and murder of the young girl in Nasrapur, a case that had sparked widespread outrage across Maharashtra.

Reacting to the judgment, Sule said the victim had finally received justice and expressed support for the court’s decision. In a post on social media, she stated that the brutal crime had deeply shaken society and that the punishment was in line with public expectations.
She reiterated her long-standing demand that crimes involving sexual assault and murder of children should be heard in fast-track courts to ensure speedy justice and strict punishment for the guilty. Sule also paid tribute to the young victim and extended her condolences to the bereaved family.
The Baramati MP further commended the investigating officers and the prosecution for conducting a thorough investigation and presenting strong evidence before the court. She thanked the police and other investigating agencies for their efforts in securing the conviction and ensuring timely justice in the case.
