Air India Flight Makes Emergency Landing In Thailand After Bomb Threat
Phuket, June 13, 2025:
An Air India flight en route from Phuket to Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing in Thailand on Friday following a bomb threat received mid-air. The aircraft, Flight AI 379, which had departed at 9:30 AM local time, made a precautionary loop over the Andaman Sea before returning to Phuket airport, according to data from Flightradar24.
Upon landing, authorities at Phuket International Airport activated emergency protocols. All 156 passengers were safely evacuated and escorted from the aircraft in line with security procedures, said officials from Airports of Thailand (AOT).
A preliminary inspection of the aircraft revealed no explosives onboard. However, the nature of the bomb threat has not been disclosed by AOT officials.
The flight had been bound for Delhi when the threat was reported. Emergency teams responded swiftly to ensure the safety of passengers and crew, and further investigations are currently underway.
