Tamil Nadu holds the second-highest number of registered projects, followed by Gujarat with 15,322 residential projects. Since the implementation of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act in 2017, Maharashtra has recorded 50,131 project registrations. Of these, 17,280 have been completed with developers submitting final documentation, while over 13,300 projects have been declared canceled.
MahaRERA has received 29,374 complaints, of which 74% (21,888 cases) have been resolved. Notably, 81% of complaints related to pre-RERA projects have been addressed, compared to 46% for post-RERA ones. Efforts to resolve disputes through conciliation have also increased, with 6,474 complaints referred and 2,006 cases settled amicably.
