Pimpri-Chinchwad, June 21, 2025: In a significant push for better connectivity in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated a key infrastructure project — the newly operational ramp linking the busy Pimpri-Chinchwad Link Road to the Chikhali–Kalewadi Phata BRT route via the Mother Teresa Flyover.

This development follows the recent opening of the critical missing link near the Auto Cluster on the same BRT route, further enhancing traffic flow and commuter convenience.

The new ramp allows seamless access from the Link Road to Chinchwad Station, Chikhali, Kalewadi, and Wakad, eliminating traffic bottlenecks and improving travel time across major city routes. The Chikhali–Kalewadi BRT corridor is already strategically integrated with Dehu–Alandi Road, Spine Road, Telco Road, Old Mumbai–Pune Highway, and other key BRT networks, ensuring smoother regional transit.

Future developments include road widening from Kudalwadi Chowk to Chikhali, an upcoming signal-free high-speed corridor from Chikhali to Wakad, and a PMRDA-backed 9-km Chikhali–Moi–Nighoje–Kharabwadi corridor with a six-lane bridge over the Indrayani River.

These projects aim to link PCMC with Pune’s Inner and Outer Ring Roads and Talegaon–Chakan MIDC, opening up new urban and industrial growth zones while drastically reducing commute times.
