The monsoon season typically marks the start of heavy tourist activity in the Sahyadri ranges. With the rains transforming the region into a green paradise, forts, waterfalls, and forest trails become major attractions. Every weekend, large numbers of youngsters travel to locations like Harishchandragad for trekking and photography. However, forest authorities and locals have repeatedly warned that wild animals, including leopards, are frequently sighted in these areas.
