Pune: MLA Bapu Pathare Directs PMC To Complete Key Road Projects In Vadgaonsheri
To accelerate ongoing development works related to road improvements, widening, new road connections, and underpasses in the Vadgaonsheri Assembly constituency, MLA Bapusaheb Pathare conducted an inspection tour on June 26 along with officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). During the tour, the MLA inspected the actual sites and gave immediate instructions to officials to resolve delayed or technically stalled projects.
Key Roads and Development Works Inspected:
- Proposed road from Gunjan Chowk to Kalyani Nagar under the metro line adjacent to the mosque and cemetery.
- Possibility and implementation of an underpass from Gunjan Chowk to Airport Road.
- Widening and expansion from Mulik Residence to Vadgaonsheri village–Old Mundhwa Road.
- Key connecting road from Survey No. 22, Beg Nagar to Kharadi–Shivne Road.
- Road development and upgradation from Bolhoba Chowk to PMC limits.
- Discussions with west-side property owners on the road connecting Grand Road to Nagar Road (Octroi Naka) and implementation of land acquisition measures.
- New road under DP Road 205 connecting Lohgaon–Wagholi (Survey Nos. 123, 124).
- Road from Octroi Naka to Vegetable Market–Talim PMC School–Mehfil Estate.
- Widening of the road between Kharadi Police Station and Janak Baba Dargah Chowk.
MLA Pathare stated, “High-quality roads are crucial for the development of any area. Therefore, it is necessary to expedite pending road works, remove existing obstacles, and establish efficient traffic and transport systems. This inspection will bring greater clarity to PMC and related agencies for implementing concrete solutions.”
All officials present took note of the situation through on-site inspection and necessary instructions, and coordination between departments will ensure swift implementation of these projects, he added.
The inspection was also attended by Additional Municipal Commissioner Omprakash Divte, Chief Engineer of the Roads Department Aniruddha Pawaskar, and social workers Qaneez Sukhrani and Surendra Pathare.
