Expedite Pune Ring Road And Address Hinjawadi Infrastructure Woes, Instructs Minister Madhuri Misal In PMRDA Review Meet
Pimpri, June 26, 2025: Urban issues are steadily increasing in the Pune metropolitan region, and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) must plan accordingly to address them, instructed Minister of State Madhuri Tai Misal during a review meeting held at the PMRDA office on Thursday, June 26. Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase provided a detailed update on the ongoing and proposed development projects under PMRDA.
Minister Misal emphasized that citizens are troubled by poor civic amenities and traffic congestion, and these problems demand focused attention. In the meeting, Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Mhase and Chief Engineer Rinaz Pathan gave a detailed presentation on various ongoing development works including missing links, industrial connectivity, development of tourism and religious destinations, urban growth centers, and ring road connectivity.
The discussion covered plans to strengthen Pune’s infrastructure, current status of previously implemented projects, and updates on the Pune Ring Road project. Strategies to create effective connectivity across the city were reviewed, along with achievements under the Chief Minister’s 100-day goals. The session also focused on planning for the next 150 days and the objectives expected to be achieved.
The meeting was attended by PMRDA Additional Metropolitan Commissioner Deepak Singla, SP and Vigilance Officer Amol Tambe, Director of Development and Planning Department Sunil Marale, Chief Engineer Rinaz Pathan, Joint Commissioner Poonam Mehta, Financial Controller Padmashree Taldekar, and senior officials from all departments.
