National Commission for Women To Hold Public Hearing In Pune On July 2
Pune | June 27, 2025:
In an effort to ensure swift and effective redressal of complaints received from women across the region, the National Commission for Women (NCW), New Delhi, will conduct a public hearing (Mahila Jan Sunavani) in Pune on Tuesday, July 2, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
The hearing will take place at the Multipurpose Hall, 5th Floor, District Collector’s Office, Pune, and will be presided over by NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar, according to District Women and Child Development Officer Manisha Biraris.
During the Jan Sunavani (Public hearing) nearly 35 pending complaints from the years **2023, 2024, and 2025, related to Pune Police Commissionerate, Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, and Pune Rural Police, will be addressed in the presence of the complainants.
The NCW team will initiate the preliminary hearing from 12:00 PM, while Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar will personally conduct the hearings starting at 2:00 PM.
Affected women or complainants are encouraged to attend the session and submit their grievances in written format.
District Women and Child Development Officer Manisha Biraris has appealed to all concerned women to be present for the hearing and make the most of this opportunity to seek justice.
