Pune: Three Arrested In Hadapsar House Burglary Case; ₹37 Lakh Worth Of Gold, Cash, And Vehicles Seized
Pune, July 2, 2025: In a major breakthrough, Hadapsar Police have arrested three accused involved in a house burglary case and seized stolen property worth ₹37,00,000 including gold and silver ornaments.
The case relates to an incident on June 14, 2025, when the complainant locked their house and went to Tuljapur-Akkalkot. During this period, unidentified miscreants broke the house lock, entered, and stole gold jewelry and cash. A case (FIR No. 570/2025) was registered at Hadapsar Police Station under IPC Sections 331(3), 305, 317(2), and 3(5).
Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Circle 5, Pune City Dr. Rajkumar Shinde, and Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Mogale, and Police Inspector (Crime) Nilesh Jagdale, the investigation team visited the crime scene and initiated technical and CCTV-based investigation.
Police Sub-Inspector Hasan Mulani, Satyawan Gend, and officers Deepak Kamble, Tukaram Zunjar, Kundlik Keskar, Bhagwan Hambarde, Ajit Madane, Abhijeet Raut, Chandrakant Rejitwad, and Mahavir Londhe scrutinized CCTV footage from the society and nearby areas. They managed to trace the car used in the crime.
Over 800 CCTV camera locations in Pune city and rural areas were scanned, eventually revealing that the suspects had moved toward the Lavale area. Based on further local investigation, the team arrested the prime suspect:
1. Ganesh Arjun Puri, Age 33, residing at Z Corner, Manjari, Pune; originally from Mamdapur Pati, Latur.
Upon interrogation, he confessed to committing the crime with accomplices, leading to the arrest of:
2. Ravirsing Shamsing Kalyani (Age 27), resident of Kothari Wheels, Ramtekdi, Hadapsar, Pune
3. Niranjansing Bharatsing Dudhane (Age 44), resident of Vangani, Ambernath, Thane
During further questioning, the accused revealed they used a Tata Nexon car for the burglary. The car was purchased about 8–10 months ago by the accused’s brother and had not been registered in his name. To avoid detection, the accused had prepared and installed a fake number plate with a look-alike RTO number.
To mislead police after the burglary, they deliberately took a diversionary route, which was later uncovered during the investigation.
Recovered Items:
Gold and silver ornaments worth ₹22.5 lakh
Tata Nexon car and a Hunter motorcycle used in the crime worth ₹14.5 lakh
Further investigation revealed that the accused were also involved in:
1. FIR No. 570/2025 – Hadapsar Police Station
2. FIR No. 569/2025 – Hadapsar Police Station
3. FIR No. 58/2025 – Koregaon Park Police Station
4. FIR No. 44/2025 – CIDCO Police Station, Sambhajinagar
All cases were registered under various relevant IPC sections, including 331(3), 305, 317(2), 3(5), 331(4), 62, and 303(2).
