‘Aaradhya Doesn’t Have a Phone or Social Media’: Abhishek Bachchan Praises Aishwarya Rai’s Role in Raising Their Daughter
Abhishek Bachchan has credited his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, for wholeheartedly dedicating herself to raising their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.
In a conversation with Nayandeep Rakshit on his YouTube channel, Abhishek said, “I have to give all the credit entirely to her mother. I have the liberty to go out and make movies, but Aishwarya does the heavy lifting with Aaradhya. She’s amazing, selfless. I really find it incredible. Mothers, in general, have this unmatched ability to give so much. Fathers might be wired differently — we’re usually more focused on work and goals — but to say, ‘My child is my top priority,’ that’s a gift. It’s why, for so many of us, our go-to person is always our mother. So yes, the entire credit for Aaradhya goes to Aishwarya.”
Abhishek also shared that Aaradhya, who is now growing into a thoughtful young girl, doesn’t use social media or even own a phone. “She is not on any social media and doesn’t have a phone. I think she’s being raised to be very conscientious, and that’s also a reflection of who she is individually. I don’t want to take away from her own nature — she’s becoming a wonderful young lady. She is truly the pride and joy of the family. At the end of the day, what matters most is coming home to a happy and healthy family,” he said.
Reflecting on the day Aaradhya was born, Abhishek fondly recalled, “She literally used to fit on my forearm. Now, she’s taller than Aishwarya.”
He also expressed frustration over how easily hurtful narratives spread online. “It’s very convenient for people to sit behind computer screens and write nasty things without realizing how deeply it might hurt the people involved,” he added.
