Pune, July 8, 2025: Blades of Glory, city based first of its kind museum of cricket memorabilia has spread its wings to Indore by joining hands with the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA). A beautifully designed Cricket Museum, which is located at the Holkar Stadium, Indore was inaugurated at the hands of Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister for Communication and Development of North East Region yesterday. Dilip Vengsarkar, former Captain of the Indian Cricket Team, Abhilash Khandekar, President of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association and Rohan Pate, Founder of Blades of Glory were present on the occasion.

Rohan Pate said, “To inspire the young generation of this cricket loving country, I founded Blades of Glory, first of its kind museum of cricket memorabilia in Pune in the year 2012. It is indeed a proud moment for us to open the branch of Blades of Glory at Holkar Stadium, Indore in association with the MPCA.”

“As per the MoU signed, our association with MPCA is for the period of 5 years and we will provide the cricketing stuff used by the iconic cricketers for this museum. The collection on display will change every 6 months”, Pate informed.

“The museum has 3 important sections dedicated to MPCA, Indian Cricket and the Global Cricket. It has more than 500 items on display of which about 400 items of cricket memorabilia are provided by Blades of Glory. Some prominent ones include Bats having signatures of all One Day World Cup Winning teams, bat used by Sir Don Bradman, cricketing stuff of renowned players from the international cricket teams of countries like West Indies, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Australia and Banglades”, Pate added.

The special section dedicated to Indian Cricket at this museum has a frame dedicated to one of the most memorable eras of Indian Cricket when the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Saurabh Ganguly, Anil Kumbale, VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid played for India. It also displays the cricketing stuff of other great Indian players.

The inauguration of this museum at Holkar Stadium took place on July 7’th which happens to be a birthday of M S Dhoni. On this occasion Rohan Pate gifted Jyotiraditya Scindia with the special T Shirt of M S Dhoni which he used in the series against Australia played in 2008.

About Blades of Glory

Founded in the year 2012 by Pune based Cricket Enthusiast Rohan Pate, Blades of Glory is the largest private collector of cricket memorabilia. The museum was inaugurated by none other than Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar. Subsequently, many iconic players visited the museum including Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, Kapil Dev, Yuvraj Singh, Sir Vivian Richards, Clive Lloyd, Wasim Akram, Brett Lee, Chris Gayle to name a few. Teams of England and Australia also visited the museum when they were on India tour and came to Pune to play their match against India.
