Pune Crime News: Police Raid Famous Spa, 10 Foreign Women Detained, Prostitution Racket Busted
Pune, July 9, 2025: Pune Police conducted raids on two spa centres in the upscale Baner and Airport areas for allegedly running prostitution rackets under the guise of massage parlours. Acting on a tip-off, the police teams raided the premises and rescued 18 women, including 10 foreign nationals and two minors.
In the operation at the spa near the Airport area, 16 women were rescued—10 of them foreign nationals and 2 Indian citizens. The police arrested the spa owner, manager, and the property owner. Another raid in Baner led to the rescue of 2 women, and cases have been registered against the spa owner and manager.
The rescued minors, aged 15 and 17, were lured with promises of jobs and later forced into prostitution. The prime accused, identified as Kiran alias Anuradha Baburao Ade (28), a resident of Kharadi, has been arrested under PITA (Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act), POCSO Act, and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
According to police investigations, Kiran Ade was running the illegal operation by exploiting the vulnerable financial and emotional conditions of the victims. Senior Inspector Ashalata Khapre led the police team that uncovered the racket after receiving intelligence about immoral activities at the spa.
